International Markets Development Division (Europe, Americas & Africa) IMDD-II helps in coordination between Pakistani Commercial Sections in the Europe, Americas & Africa regions and product divisions of TDAP for speedy and effective disposal of references. In its Annual Business Plan for FY 2023-24 IMDD-II has planned to venture into new markets especially Africa under the auspices of the “Look Africa” policy of the Ministry of Commerce. Under this initiative, IMDD-II, in coordination with Ministry of Commerce, carried out the four editions of Pakistan- Africa Trade Development Conference & Single Country Exhibitions in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt with great aplomb in last 04 years. 

Commercial Sections often refer many cases for credential verification of Pakistani companies to IMDD-II which helps them verify these companies and connect them with potential buyers. Commercial Sections in these regions share trade leads and queries with IMDD-II which are referred to relevant Product Divisions of TDAP for expeditious action. IMDD-II ensures that these trade leads and queries are timely and effectively dealt with.

IMDD-II carries out Single Country Exhibitions in countries where market entry is desired for Pakistani products. IMDD-II also plays a central role in developing TDAP’s Annual Business Plan. The task of assessment of Pakistani Trade Officers posted abroad is also coordinated by IMDD-II division. Moreover, IMDD-II regularly conducts webinars for educating and engaging Pakistani exporters with potential importers abroad with the aim of increasing Pakistani Exports.
